15 Delicious Nut-Free Lunch Box Fillers that you can send into school! Try these School safe snacks that your kids will love.

If you are a regular reader of the blog, you may have seen my post on Hot Packed Lunch Ideas For Kids.
So you will know that I’ve been working on lots of lunchbox inspiration and as the kids go back to school this week!
But as well as nut free school lunch ideas, I know lots of parents are also looking for nut free snack ideas that are safe to send to school or to bulk out their child’s lunch.
Buying snacks for kids can be really expensive! But you can make your own at home for a fraction of the price.
Most of these can also be made in bulk and will keep for several days. Some can even be frozen too.
Because most schools and nurseries now have a completely nut-free food policy, I’ve only listed recipes which are free from nuts and nut butter.
Here are my top 15 Nut Free Lunchbox Fillers. I really hope they come in handy for everyone sending packed lunches and snacks to school for their kids!
Mini Lemon Muffins

Theses Mini Lemon Muffins are one of my newest recipes and are fantastic for batch cooking!
A super easy recipe. You can also freeze them, pop into school lunchboxes straight from the freezer and they will defrost in time for lunchtime!
Chocolate Orange Banana Bread

My Chocolate Orange Banana Bread recipe is refined sugar free and nut free making it a great addition to a healthy nut free lunch for kids.
But if your kids aren’t fans of orange, then you could try my Strawberry Banana Bread Recipe instead.
Rice Cake Clusters

This is another recent recipe and I was so pleased how they turned out. But be warned, they are seriously addictive! We’ve been making them on repeat for weeks now!
They make a great school lunchbox treat, but just be sure to check your school’s policy on sending chocolate into school first.
Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies

Kids love cookies and they are great when served with fresh fruit and veggies as part of a balanced school lunch.
But shop bought cookies can be expensive if you are buying frequently and aren’t always the healthiest.
My homemade cookies are a little bit healthier, made with oats, wholemeal flour and reduced sugar.
Apple & Carrot Muffins

These muffins feel like a real treat even though they are packed full of healthy ingredients and protein that will help kids stay full until homer time.
They freeze really well. So make up a batch so that you always have a little sweet treat on hand to add to lunch boxes.
Jam Straws

Ready in only 15 minutes and using only 3 ingredients, these nut free snacks couldn’t be easier!
Serve with lots of fresh chopped fruit and vegetables for a no-nut lunch filler!
Healthy Oat & Blueberry Blender Muffins

These Blueberry Muffins are nut safe and gluten free too so make a fantastic allergy friendly lunch idea for school.
And if your kids don’t like blueberries, then try these Strawberry & Chocolate Chip Blender Muffins instead.
Strawberry & Banana Cake Bars

My kids love those little cake bars that you can get in the supermarket and we can get through a lot of them when packing lunch for school!
So I decided to make my own homemade version. Lot’s of the ingredients can be substituted to make them allergy-safe. Perfect if you have a child who has a gluten or dairy allergy.
Mini Chocolate Chip Banana Breads

These mini banana breads feel like a real treat for the kids whilst still being relatively healthy. Win win situation right there!
You can leave the chocolate chips out if your school has a zero chocolate policy as well as a nut free policy and they will still taste great without them!
Oat & Raisin Cookies

I originally made these cookies as an after school snack for the kids. But I’ve recently been using them in their lunch boxes too!
I’ve used raisins in my cookies, but you can use any dried fruit you like depending on your child’s likes and dislikes!
