Freezable Snacks For Kids

July 4, 2024 by Bianca Carey Spencer, Updated February 11, 2025

Our Freezable Snacks For Kids collection will save you time and money. Plus you’ll always have a freezer stash of tasty snacks for hangry kids!

Feeding kids can be exhausting! Not to mention expensive too.

Even just coming up with snack ideas day in day out quite frankly just adds to the huge mental load we carry as parents.

We have hundreds of Snack Recipes For Kids in the archives, but I wanted to showcase our favourite freezable snacks for kids that you can prep ahead and just grab out of the freezer as and when you need them.

Here’s to lessening the mental load!

Lemon Loaf

A really easy, all mixed in one bowl, recipe for Lemon Loaf. Delicious as an afternoon snack!

Apple & Cinnamon Cake

A delicious soft and fluffy homemade cake, made with fresh apples and flavoured with cinnamon.

Mini Chocolate Muffins

Mini Chocolate Muffins, made a little healthier and low in sugar. Brilliant for packed lunches or as an afternoon snack for kids.

Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies

Healthier lower sugar Mini Chocolate Cookies. Brilliant for after school snacks or to pop into packed lunches for kids.

Chocolate Orange Muffins

If you’re looking for healthy snacks that are low in sugar but really tasty, then these Chocolate Orange Muffins are the perfect freezable snacks for kids! They will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months so will last you for ages too.

Mini Raspberry & White Chocolate Banana Breads

This recipe is actually from over on the Pick Plates website, but it was too good to leave out of this roundup! Whilst they are fantastic for popping into snack boxes, they’re great if you want to fill your freezer with healthier snacks for kids for the holidays!

Leftover Cereal Bars

This is a great recipe to get the kids helping with! There’s no cooking involved so even the littles one can get involved with this one. Use up leftover cereal, make freezer friendly snacks for the kids AND an activity to keep them occupied all in one! You’re welcome!

Thanks for putting these all in one place, saves some much time looking around for different recipe ideas, and i find also saves money on the weekly shopping bill, as most can be batched cooked and frozen and used over a few weeks. 10 out of 10 🙌
