Smashed Banana & Yogurt Bites

A fun summer snack for kids. Smashed frozen bananas topped with yogurt, peanut butter and sprinkles

Have you seen the frozen smashed banana craze? It’s a fun way to make a simple and healthy snack for the kids.

And they’ll love getting involved in helping too.

The first step is to chop a banana into slices.

Place them or a baking tray or plate lined with parchment paper.

Use a glass to press down on the banana slices to flatten them.

Top with yogurt and then add a small dollop of peanut butter.

I find it easier to melt the peanut butter in the microwave first.

Finish off with some sprinkles and freeze for 2 hours until solid.

Topped with yogurt then a small dollop of peanut butter added, them sprinkles. then placed in the freezer on baking try for 2 hours until solid.

Serve up straight away to a really fun summer snack for the kids.

These Smashed Banana & Yogurt Bites are best eaten the same day that they are made but they will keep in the freezer for 2 days.

Description

A fun summer snack for kids. Smashed frozen bananas topped with yogurt, peanut butter and sprinkles


Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 50g greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Chop the banana into slices and add them to a baking tray or plate lined with parchment paper.
  2. Use a glass to press down on the banana slices and flatten them.
  3. Add a dollop of yogurt to the top of each slice, followed by a smaller amount of peanut butter.
  4. If you find the peanut butter too thick then you can melt it in the microwave to make it easier.
  5. Finally top with sprinkles.
  6. Freeze for 2 hours and serve.

Notes

These Banana Bites are best eaten the same day that they are made but they will keep in the freezer for up to 2 days.

      Hi Alex, We cant see any reason why not! they are best eaten the same day that they are made but they will keep in the freezer for up to 2 days.
